Art Connection - Tuesday 3rd Dec 2024 - Week 118

Hello Everyone

Hope you will join me online this Tuesday where we'll work on using pencils (graphite, pastel or coloured pencil wil all be suitable) to draw a beautiful image of Jesus praying.

We usually meet every Tuesday morning from 11am to 12.15pm to draw/paint together. No experience needed. Complete beginners are very welcome.

Luke 23: 32-34

“32 Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed. 33 When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left. 34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots..”

If you are able to print out the image to have it beside you whilst drawing, hopefully you'll find this helpful on the day. Otherwise, you can perhaps view it on your phone as this will allow you to zoom in on the detail also ?

What you'll need

Either smooth paper or Pastel paper or very fine grit sandpaper suitable for soft pastels

Sticky tape (decorators masking tape is best) to hold the paper down to your desk/table

Any size of paper (A3 or A4 will be good)

A selection of graphite, coloured or pastel pencils

Kitchen paper to wipe your hands on

An eraser and pencil sharpener

An apron to keep your clothes clean !

How do i join?

The zoom link to join will appear above on this page at 11AM on Tuesdays. To join you will need a phone/tablet or laptop with a built in camera and microphone (most modern devices come with this) you may need to download the zoom app onto your phone if you are using a phone to join.
