Art Connection - Tuesday 4th March 2025 - Week 123

Hello Everyone

Hope you will join me online this Tuesday where we'll work on using soft pastels to paint a vase with Roses and branches in it. Image from Unsplash.

We usually meet every Tuesday morning from 11am to 12.15pm to draw/paint together. No experience needed. Complete beginners are very welcome.

If you are able to print out the image to have it beside you whilst drawing, hopefully you'll find this helpful on the day. Otherwise, you can perhaps view it on your phone as this will allow you to zoom in on the detail also ?

What you'll need

Pastel paper or very fine grit sandpaper

Sticky tape (decorators masking tape is best) to hold the paper down to your desk/table

Any size of paper (A4 or A3 will be best if you have it)

A selection of soft pastels & pastel pencils

Kitchen paper to wipe your hands on

A pencil, eraser (putty eraser is even better) and pencil sharpener

How do i join?

The zoom link to join will appear above on this page at 11AM on Tuesdays. To join you will need a phone/tablet or laptop with a built in camera and microphone (most modern devices come with this) you may need to download the zoom app onto your phone if you are using a phone to join.
